Strength

Our Strength class is designed for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from. Whether you’re brand new to lifting or have years of experience, we truly believe in meeting you where you’re at. Every workout is built around structured strength training to help you build muscle, improve movement, and feel more confident in your body.

Strength training isn’t just about getting stronger; it’s one of the most important things you can do for your overall health. It supports bone density, improves joint health, boosts metabolism, and helps you move better in everyday life.

We focus on quality over speed, with coached guidance, proper technique, and enough rest so you can get stronger safely and effectively. You’ll never be rushed or expected to keep up with anyone else; this is your workout, at your pace.

Our coaches are there every step of the way to support you, make adjustments when needed, and help you progress over time.

Conditioning

Our Conditioning class is designed for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from. Whether you’re just getting back into fitness or looking to push your limits, we meet you where you’re at. Each workout is designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and overall work capacity through a circuit-style class featuring full-body movements.

Conditioning isn’t just about getting sweaty; it’s one of the best ways to support your overall health. It improves heart health, increases energy levels, helps manage stress, and builds the stamina you need for everyday life and more.

We’ll challenge you, but never at the expense of proper movement. You’ll always have options to scale, adjust intensity, and move at a pace that works for you.

Our coaches are there to guide you, motivate you, and help you get the most out of every session, whether that means pushing harder or pulling things back.

Strength & Conditioning

Our Strength & Conditioning class gives you the best of both worlds, no matter where you’re starting from.

We begin with our traditional strength-training program, focusing on controlled lifts, proper technique, and adequate rest to build real strength. We then finish with a short, challenging conditioning circuit to elevate your heart rate and leave you feeling accomplished.

It’s the perfect balance—not too much of one or the other. You’ll build muscle, improve endurance, and get a well-rounded workout in a single session.

This class is ideal for anyone who doesn’t have the time to attend multiple classes throughout the week, or for those who simply enjoy the combination of strength and conditioning together.

As always, we meet you where you’re at. You’ll have options to scale, adjust intensity, and move at a pace that works for you—whether you’re just getting started or looking to push yourself.

Sweat & Stretch

Our Sweat & Stretch class gives you the best of both worlds, no matter where you’re starting from. We start with two rounds of conditioning to get your heart rate up, build a sweat, and challenge your body in a fun, approachable way. Then we shift gears and slow things down, finishing with static stretching, foam rolling, and trigger point work to help you release tension and recover.

It’s the perfect balance of effort and recovery, not too much of one or the other. You’ll leave feeling worked, loosened up, and recharged. This class is ideal for anyone looking to move, de-stress, and take better care of their body, especially if you’ve been feeling tight, sore, or run down.

As always, we meet you where you’re at. You’ll have options to adjust intensity during the conditioning and ease into the recovery work at your own pace.

Mobility

Our Mobility class is designed for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from. This class focuses on helping you move better, feel better, and take care of your body. Through a mix of controlled movements, stretching, and strength in end ranges, you’ll work on improving flexibility, joint health, and overall mobility.

Mobility is more than just stretching. While stretching focuses on lengthening muscles, mobility is about building strength and control through those ranges so your body can actually use them. That’s what helps you move better, reduce injury risk, and get more out of your workouts.

Each session is guided and intentional, giving you time to explore positions, build control, and understand your body. You’ll never be rushed, and you’ll always have options to adjust movements based on how you’re feeling that day.

This class is perfect on its own or as a complement to your strength and conditioning training, helping you recover, reset, and move with more confidence.

Stability + Mobility

Our Stability + Mobility class is designed for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from.

We begin with a focused core and stability section to help you build strength through your trunk and improve control in your movements. From there, we move into our mobility work, using controlled movements, stretching, and strength in end ranges to help you move better and feel better.

It’s the perfect combination of building a strong foundation and improving how your body moves, not too much of one or the other. Each session is guided and intentional, with options to adjust based on how you’re feeling that day. You’ll never be rushed, and you’ll always be supported by our coaches.

This class is ideal on its own or as a complement to your strength and conditioning training, helping you build stability, improve mobility, and move with confidence. As always, we meet you where you’re at.

Babies & Barbells

Our Babies & Barbells class is designed for moms who want to get back into training, no matter where they’re starting from.

This is a supportive, welcoming space where you can focus on yourself while still having your baby with you or not. Whether you’re newly postpartum or easing back into fitness, we meet you where you’re at.

 

Each session focuses on safe, effective strength training with an emphasis on rebuilding your foundation: core strength, stability, and overall movement. We take things at the right pace, with guidance and modifications to support your body through every stage of recovery.

This class isn’t just about exercise; it’s about feeling strong again, building confidence, and connecting with other moms going through a similar journey.

There’s no pressure, no expectations, just a space to move, take a breath, and do something for you.

Our Dirty 30 class is a fast, effective workout designed for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from. It’s quick, but it works. This style of training is great for improving cardiovascular fitness, boosting energy, and building overall work capacity, even on a busy schedule.

Dirty 30 is perfect for anyone looking for an efficient workout or for those who want to come in, work hard, and get on with their day.

As always, we meet you where you’re at. You’ll have options to scale, adjust intensity, and move at a pace that challenges you appropriately.

Meet our founder, Steven!

 

Steven's fitness journey began 15 years ago when he first stumbled upon the weight room in his high school. Initially, like your typical teenager, his focus was solely on building a big set of arms and chest. However, as he delved deeper into the fitness world, he realized the importance of overall well-being and balanced fitness.

His views on what fitness means evolved hugely over the next 15 years. A prominent moment for Steven is when he decide to pursue rugby as a professional career; his focus shifted to trying to become the strongest, fastest, biggest version of himself. Upon reaching his goals and becoming a professional rugby player, he had the opportunity to be trained by high level strength and conditioning coaches. This again provided him with a whole new perspective and knowledge around fitness!

After one too many injuries, Steven made the tough decision to retire from rugby. But, with his passion for fitness still well and alive he began his journey towards working as a personal trainer. Since parting ways with the fitness world as an athlete, and becoming a proud dad to his beautiful daughter, his goals have shifted once again. Steven's priority is to incorporate all that he's learned and create long term health and fitness for his everyday life.

Having a space where he can positively share his passion with the community around him has always been a dream of his. And with Van Isle Fitness, he is so excited to see this dream come to life! Steven looks forward to continuing his fitness journey in collaboration with the community at Van Isle Fitness!
